The WAY Maker ~ DeVonne Reed
September 24, 2015.
GOD Will Make A Way, He Is Always Right On Time!
SITUATIONS may seem impossible, but remember this...
There they were, a multitude of people, standing at the Red Sea, with no where else to go. They were at the end of the road! They were stuck, they even thought they were doomed and about to die. Just when they thought Pharaoh and his army would subdue them, and kill them, GOD opened the water and made a WAY of escape for HIS people!
He caused them to walk on dry land, they crossed over and they were released from their wilderness experience!
The enemy may be in hot pursuit against you, today. The hounds of hell may be nipping at your heels. Don't STOP moving forward. Keep walking and Watch GOD!
HE will allow your enemies to watch you, they will see you as you walk across your Red Sea but, they will not be able to touch you! So keep walking, you are crossing over and into HIS PERFECT WILL for your life!
The water that God held back for you to cross over and escape, will be returned upon the enemy, covering and drowning them, so there will not be so much as one remaining!
YES, HE'LL DO IT AGAIN!
HE WILL HOLD BACK THE WATERS FOR YOU, TOO!
HE HAS NOT CHANGED! HE is still the same, yesterday, today and FOREVER!
TRUST HIM!
THE WAY MAKER, WILL MAKE A WAY FOR YOU!

A Million Treasures ~ DeVonne Reed
A Million Treasures ~ by DeVonne Reed
September 19, 2015.
You may be wealthy, according to the worlds standards. You may have unlimited resources. You may have an abundance of money and you may be able to purchase and acquire all that your heart desires.
You may have the best "things" that money can buy.
But, that is just what they are...THINGS!
Things cannot love you back.
Things cannot hold you when you need to just be held.
Things cannot make you well when you are ill.
Things cannot make you happy.
There are just some "things" that money cannot buy, such as:
Love, respect, common sense, peace, health, kindness, compassion, happiness, wisdom, faith, Salvation, Grace, Mercy, answered prayers, integrity, morals, class, character, family, a good friend, courage, intelligence, sleep, time, laughter, sunrise and sunset, a clear conscience, trust, and rest, etc.
If you have one or more of these things, then you are richer than you think!
These are some of the most important things to me.
As you can clearly see this is a very limited list.
Actually, this list is only scratching the surface of things money cannot buy.
If you truly want to know the quality of your life, count your blessings. Not just the things that your money has bought. Rather think of all of the things that you have received, things that you have been given, freely and recognize them, seeing they are seasoned with grace.
Truly these possessions are priceless.
Never take a single breath for granted and don't blink...no, we are not promised tomorrow.
It's not about quantity. It is not about how much money you have or how many possessions you have, it's about who and what you have in your life that adds quality to your existence. Invest wisely.
"If you allow people to make more withdrawals than deposits in your life, you'll be out of balance and in the negative. Know when to close the account."
~ Unknown
Some people have everything and they are still unhappy.
Always searching for their next noun. You know what I mean...
That special person, place or thing.
Something, yes anything that might bring them satisfaction, even if it is only for a moment in time. I have seen this happen.
In reality, they never find "it" anyway and they must continue to search.
No matter the cost. They do not consider how much pain and suffering they will face and put you through while they are trying to attain their goal.
When most of the time their treasure, their wealth, those things that are the most valuable to them, are right there, within their reach. But, they are too busy looking elsewhere to see what is right in front of them.
So remember this...
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.
Don't be trapped by dogma- which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
Don't let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS SECONDARY." ~ Unknown
"It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years that matter."
~ Abraham Lincoln
In your eyes, I may not have the best of everything, but in my heart, I am grateful, and I make the best of everything I have.
Actually, I have many blessings that money did not buy. I am rich!

Power Of The Tongue ~ DeVonne Reed
I wrote this September 18, 2014.
What a refresher course!
Oh! Be careful little mouth what you say!
"The Power Of The Tongue"
DeVonne Reed
Proverbs 18:21.
DEATH and LIFE are in the POWER of the tongue: and they that love it SHALL EAT THE FRUIT THEREOF.
James 3:1-18. READ IT! This whole chapter speaks of the "tongue."
Our word are creative!
Our words are powerful!
Our word are positive, or they are negative!
What we speak... is what we have!
We need to think before we speak! Beware, of the words that come out of our mouth, at some point we will experience the taste of them.
To be safe, make sure they're sweet! Because, we just may have to eat them again!
What you and I say about others, says "A LOT" about us!
If what you and I are saying, is not doing one of these three things:
1. Educating
2. Edifying
3. Encouraging
Then we do best to just be quiet!
I'm using a quote from a Disney movie, Bambi.
Thumper said it best!
"If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all".
Educate:
1. To provide esp. with formal knowledge or training.
2. To provide with information.
3. To bring to an understanding.
Edify:
1. To instruct, esp. to encourage moral or spiritual improvement.
[< Lat. aedificare, build.]
Encourage:
1. To inspire with hope, courage, or confidence.
2. To give support to; foster.
Syns: encourage, animate, cheer, embolden, hearten, inspirit.
Psalms 19:14.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Beautiful You ~ DeVonne Reed
How many can remember the slogan for Coca Cola in 1969?
The slogan was, "Its The Real Thing."
This slogan continued on into 1971- "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke" (part of the "It's the real thing" campaign.)
Ok, lets get REAL! I am really talking, REAL talk! Ha!
I admit it! I am a follower of that which is REAL!
I love experiencing and having what is REAL. I love "brand transparency!"
I love REAL, GENUINE things. I do not like IMITATIONS.
I am sharing two definitions . REAL and GENUINE.
REAL:
real, existent being or occuring in fact or actuality; having verified existence, not illusionary.
ex. "Life is real! Life is earnest! " ~ Longfellow
GENUINE:
1. Genuine: not fake or counterfeit.
(see also honest, honorable, real, existent, sincere and true)
ex."A genuine Picasso."
2. Genuine: true, unfeigned not pretended; sincerely felt or expressed.
"Her interest in people was unfeigned."
3. Actual, genuine, literal, real being or reflecting the essential or genuine character of something.
"Her actual motive."
Do youmember this quote? " You get what you pay for." Well, sometimes, this is true, isn't it?
There are imitations of many things. They resemble the real thing, many are even a perfect look-a-like, almost identical! Sometimes we can barey tell the difference between the two! Right?
Imitations are not genuine, they are counterfeit, a copy with intent to deceive. A fake and a phoney, is only a copy of that which is real, representing itself with a misleading appearance. They only "appear" to be real!
These items, do not always sell for a lesser price, however, most of the time, we purchase them, believe we are getting a bargain. an unreal bargain! These items usually sell for a much lower price, because their quality is lower and they do not last as long or perform as well as the original!
Besides, we know, a genuine article or item, will cost us much more in the beginning, because, it is the "real thing". The genuine article, usually lasts longer, much longer. These items become antiques. Very valuable pieces, so valuable in fact, they are worth more, and more as it ages!
Some items are considered heirlooms, for generations, yes, a lifetime. Which is priceless!
Today, I have come to tell you something very important!
YOU matter and YOU are valuable! I encourage YOU today, learn to love YOURSELF and accept YOURSELF for who YOU are! There is only one YOU, and YOU are good at being YOU!
YOU, were fashioned and created uniquely, individually, unequalled, unparalleled by God, to be YOU!
HE LOVES YOU!
HIS LOVE IS the love, YOU CAN TRUST!
HIS LOVE IS UNPRETENTIOUS!
HIS LOVE IS not based on PERFORMANCES!
HIS LOVE IS the appreciation of who YOU are!
YOU ARE A DIRECT REFLECTION OF HIS LOVE and WHO HE IS!
HE LOVES YOU!
YOU are not a CHEAP IMITATION!
Get off of that shelf, you are not a copy!
COME ON!
Right NOW, take YOURSELF off that clearance rack, because YOU are the ORIGINAL! YOU are not a discounted item! YOU are PRICELESS!
HE LOVES YOU!
YOU! YOU are the ONE and ONLY YOU!
YOU are the BEST at being YOU!
HE LOVES YOU!
YOU are the GENUINE ARTICLE and HE compares YOU to no one else!
HE has not changed HIS mind about YOU!
HE LOVES YOU!
HE CALLS YOU BEAUTIFUL!
HE LOVES YOU!
"BE YOURSELF, EVERYONE ELSE IS TAKEN." ~ Oscar Wilde
Psalm 139:14, 17. NIV
14. I will praise YOU because I am FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY MADE;
YOUR WORKS are WONDERFUL, I KNOW that full well.
17. How PRECIOUS to me are YOUR thoughts, GOD! How vast is the sum of them!
HE LOVES YOU!
So, do I!

LET GO
by DeVonne Reed
9•11•2015.
Letting go is not always easy...
But, when you do decide to "Let Go" remember as a child, when you used to make a wish on a dandelion weed.
Have you made your decision?
Now, BREATHE... take a deep breath and blow.
Blow...blooOOOoooOOOoowing...Blow...
Blow it away.
Watch it as it drifts away... There it goes... Floating off into the distance.
Just like one of those fuzzy little particles of that weed... ~ DjR <3
Letting IT Go.
Much Love, DeVonne.

Written And Read ~ DeVonne Reed
Written And Read
by DeVonne Reed
September, 10, 2015.
I remember our nightly routine, it consisted of reading the Bible and praying together.
No one was exempt from attending...lol.
We gathered as a unit, the whole family.
Daddy asked us to focus our attention and listen to him as he would read the story that he was instructed to read, by the Holy Spirit.
As he began to read, I listened to Daddy! He read with such passion and conviction, that I always felt like I was a part of the story.
Daddy inspired me! As he read, he would explain the WORD of GOD it came alive in me at a very early age.
I am grateful for the seed (which is the WORD of GOD) that Daddy and Mother placed within my heart.
I have received the best gift, the pearl of great price, Jesus and HE IS mine!
Yes, they instilled an inheritance that cannot be shaken or taken.
Jesus lives within me!
Even as an adult they still, encouraged me to always keep a hunger and thirst for GOD, to follow after and seek HIM and HIS Righteousness.
They also told me that I could eat this BREAD OF LIFE and I would never go hungry. I could drink this LIVING WATER and I would never thirst again.
Guess what?
I can still have as much of HIM as I want!
I NEED, I WANT and I DESIRE more, more and even more of Jesus!
My parents taught me The WORD of GOD IS the TRUTH. Yes, it was and still is the truth.
Truly, their lives were examples of their Faith in Jesus Christ. Through their love, dedication, and prayers, I have seen many miracles happen with my own eyes. Those truths, I will carry with me, always.
No one will ever convince me that these miracles did not happen, nor can anyone change my mind or cause me to believe anything different.
I knew that PRAYER WORKED then, even as a small child. I definitely know Prayer STILL Works today! Thank you JESUS!
Daddy and Momma, Thank you for allowing me to read your books! You made your dash count!
Thank you for giving me your LOVE, and your time.
You were written...and I read. <3
Much love, DeVonne.

Trust In The LORD FOREVER!
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock.
Isaiah 26: 3-4
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
Psalm 32:7-8
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
