I'm Gonna Make It! ~ DeVonne Reed ~ 6•14•2015.

I can still remember the first time, I ever heard the song, "I'M GONNA MAKE IT." May of 2010. It was so encouraging to me...because, it brought peace and comfort to my heart, during a time of great loss, which brought much sorrow and uncertain times into my life.

My mentor, my pastor, my friend, my Daddy, Bobby J. Simmons, took his last breath here on earth, and he was escorted into the presence of the Lord, August 24, 2010. Oh, how I miss you, Daddy.

I still remember the first time I ever posted it, too. It was October of 2011, after my brother Deano passed away, one year and two days later, on August 26, 2011. I miss you, my huggy bear, BIG brother!

This song has been a steady reminder to me, that no matter what happens to me or what I may be going through, and especially, during the times of my Daddy, and my oldest brother's passing, God reassured me that truly I was going to make it!

At this present time, this song has once again become my song of comfort. Before, during and now daily, since my precious mommas passing on May 19, 2015.

As hard as it is, to accept the fact that they are absent from their bodies and they are present with the LORD, the reality of their absence, has deeply effected my life...in more ways than I thought imaginable.

But, thanks be to GOD for the victory that is found in Jesus Christ. Knowing, that there is LIFE beyond this life, gives me HOPE and knowing this has pushed me and only continues to push me that much further into the arms of Jesus, the lover of my soul!

No, there is NOTHING...no nothing, that can possibly separate me from GOD'S unconditional and unfailing LOVE. LOVE like this was never known!

Thank YOU JESUS that YOU are the lifter of my head. Yes, YOU are THE HEALER of my heart. When others seemingly, find it easy to just walk away.
I will continue to praise YOU and give thanks! Thank YOU JESUS, for YOUR WORDS, they are SPIRIT and they are LIFE. YOU are TRUE and FAITHFUL! YOU said, YOU WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME, NOR FORSAKE ME. I believe YOU! YOU ARE YOUR WORD and YOUR WORD IS YOUR BOND. YOU MADE ME THIS PROMISE, and I'M STILL STANDING ON IT! Not looking to the right nor to the left. I am keeping my focus, directly on YOU!

TRULY, I KNOW, THAT WHATEVER MAY COME, YOUR STEADY HAND, WILL LEAD ME ON... and "I'M GONNA MAKE IT!"

YOU ALREADY SAID, THAT I WOULD...
I'LL KEEP ON TRUSTING...
THAT YOU'RE WORKING EVERYTHING FOR MY GOOD...
