Thinking of my momma today, just like every other day! <3
I took a three day beach trip with my best friend, in April 2015. Easter weekend. While I was there, sitting on the beach, I was reminded of this song,
"Time In A Bottle" by Jim Croce (1973.)
I finished drinking my water and I decided to filled my empty water bottle with some sand and a few small seashells, for my momma.
I brought it back to give it to her, while she was in recovery at the rehabilation center. I had witten these words on one side of it, so momma could see them.
"If I Could Save Time In A Bottle."
After I gave it to momma, we had a long conversation. :) I asked Momma, do you remember that old song? She answered, "yes I remember that song." We talked about, saving time in a bottle! It was a very special conversation, indeed!
I played the song for her on YouTube. As it finished playing, I looked over at her and she was smiling.
I said, "Oh momma, if only...if only...if only I could...If only, I Could Save Time In A Bottle, I would. "
We shared some tears, a few hugs, and kisses :) momma told me, she loved me, in her own special way, that she always did, with me.
I said to her, "momma, you are and always will be the most beautiful girl in the world, and I LOVE you, with all of my heart, the most, the longest, always and forever...I LOVE you even more than every grain of sand, in this bottle!"
I miss you! Until we meet again!
By the way...I did save time in a bottle!
Much Love, DeVonne.
Treasure your time, make memories!
