What a refresher course!
Oh! Be careful little mouth what you say!
"The Power Of The Tongue"
DeVonne Reed
Proverbs 18:21.
DEATH and LIFE are in the POWER of the tongue: and they that love it SHALL EAT THE FRUIT THEREOF.
James 3:1-18. READ IT! This whole chapter speaks of the "tongue."
Our word are creative!
Our words are powerful!
Our word are positive, or they are negative!
What we speak... is what we have!
We need to think before we speak! Beware, of the words that come out of our mouth, at some point we will experience the taste of them.
To be safe, make sure they're sweet! Because, we just may have to eat them again!
What you and I say about others, says "A LOT" about us!
If what you and I are saying, is not doing one of these three things:
1. Educating
2. Edifying
3. Encouraging
Then we do best to just be quiet!
I'm using a quote from a Disney movie, Bambi.
Thumper said it best!
"If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all".
Educate:
1. To provide esp. with formal knowledge or training.
2. To provide with information.
3. To bring to an understanding.
Edify:
1. To instruct, esp. to encourage moral or spiritual improvement.
[< Lat. aedificare, build.]
Encourage:
1. To inspire with hope, courage, or confidence.
2. To give support to; foster.
Syns: encourage, animate, cheer, embolden, hearten, inspirit.
Psalms 19:14.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
