Momma and Daddy, I miss you. I value the special bond that we shared, all of my life. I treasure each and every moment of time that we spent together.
Even though I have many, many memories of you...sometimes it seems they are all too few..
Truly every one of them are precious indeed, to me!
If you are still blessed to have your parents, go spend time with them, take your children to see them...allow your children to sit and listen and learn from their grandparents, they have so much wisdom to give.
Ask your parents to tell your children about themselves and of their experiences and their life stories. Enjoy your family while you still can.
Hug them, kiss them, tell them that you love them, send them a card, visit them, call them, buy them flowers, take them out to dinner, do something for them, just because you want to! I promise, you won't regret it!
So, I guess, what I am really trying to say in a nutshell is this, don't take anything for granted...don't blink!
You just might miss something very special!
Make memories in your lifetime, for surely one day these wonderful, special people, these people that you call your mom and dad, they will pass on and your memories..yes, your memories will be the only treasure that you have left of them.
Exodus 20:12. KJV.
12. HONOUR thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy GOD giveth thee.
Time is a gift that you give!
Here's to making LIFE count!
Much LOVE, DeVonne.
