Will Someone Please Pass The Bread?

Will Someone Please Pass THE BREAD?

There is nothing like piece of freshly baked bread, especially when it is still hot right out of the oven. You know, right? The piece that you can by hardly wait to pull apart and spread real butter on it and eat it! Yum.

Momma does not cook much any more, and I sure do miss her cooking!

I remember well, my momma's cooking. She definitely could throw down, doing her thing! She cooked like she was going to feed an army, and she did, because we were one! HA! Not only did she feed us but our hosts of friends as well! One thing was certain, there was always plenty. There was always enough to have second helpings, if you desired and sometimes, there were leftovers, too.

Momma was a good cook.
I loved her biscuits, cornbread, and loaf bread, all made from scratch.
I especially loved it when she made yeast rolls! Oh, that smell! Mmmmm...the aroma, I can almost smell it now.
That fragrance, not only did it fill the kitchen, but it permeated every room of our house, and you could smell it two blocks away, believe me, we all came running!

When momma would make bread, ALL six of us, (there were six of us then, because, Angela was not born yet.) my brothers and sisters, along with most of the neighborhood kids, would come into the house. We always had a house full!

Waiting patiently, I would be the go between asking momma how much longer, before the rolls would be ready. When she said "about five more minutes" I reported the news to everyone, it was then we all made our way into the kitchen.
There we were, standing around, drooling and hovering, like a bunch of hungry predators, stalking their next meal. HA!
I am positive, momma felt like a quarterback, about to be sacked! Ha-ha!

Momma opened the door of the oven, lol...somehow she had a built-in timer, she knew exactly when the rolls, would be ready! Finally, they were done! She removed the baking sheets from the oven, the rolls were lined neatly in rows. When, I feast my eyes upon them, I could hardly wait to have one of these huge edible, golden brown, domed treasures! Oh, the taste of that first bite! Gratification! I always had to have another one.

Most of us like bread, especially fresh bread. Right? Of course we do!
Myself, I don't like stale bread. I don't like smashed bread. I don't like soggy bread. I will not eat it! I always check for mold, because, I want mine to be fresh!

Stay with me, ok?

In the natural realm, we must eat to receive nutrition to live healthy lives. Thereby we survive and thrive.

There is no difference in the spiritual realm. We must eat spiritual food on a DAILY basis or we will starve our spiritman to death.

You may ask me, "what are you talking about?"

Allow me to give you something to eat, FRESH BREAD IS BEING SERVED HERE!

1. THE WORD OF GOD IS OUR DAILY BREAD!

Deuteronomy 8:3. NIV
HE humbled you, causing you to HUNGER and then FEEEDING you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to TEACH you that man DOES NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE but on EVERY WORD that comes from the MOUTH of the LORD.

Matthew 4:4. KJV
But HE (JESUS) answered and said, IT IS WRITTEN, Man shall not LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, but by EVERY WORD that PROCEEDETH OUT of the MOUTH OF GOD.

2. JESUS IS THE WORD!

John 6:33- 35; 48, 51.

33. "For THE BREAD OF GOD IS HE (JESUS) WHICH COMES DOWN FROM HEAVEN, AND GIVES LIFE TO THE WORLD."

34. "SIR," they said, "ALWAYS give us this bread."

35. And JESUS said unto them, "I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE. WHOEVER COMES TO ME WILL NEVER GO HUNGRY, AND WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME WILL NEVER BE THIRSTY."

48. "I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE."

51. "I AM THE LIVING BREAD THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN. WHOEVER EATS THIS BREAD WILL LIVE FOREVER. THIS BREAD IS MY FLESH, WHICH I WILL GIVE FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD"

AGAIN, Physically and spiritually speaking.

Matthew 4:4.
Man shall not LIVE by bread (physical food) alone. But by EVERY WORD
(spiritual food) THAT PROCEEDS OUT FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.

Psalm 34:8.
O TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD: BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT TRUSTETH (takes refuge) IN HIM.

I want to share something else here. LISTEN with your spiritual ears.

When my momma made her bread, she followed the directions. She used specific ingredients. She precisely measured each one of them and mixed them together. She let the dough sit, allowing it to rise. After a period of time the dough had risen, it was ready to be kneaded and placed into the pans she had already prepared. She let it sit, until it rose again. Then she baked the bread until it was golden brown. The whole loaf was complete, and ready to be served.

So it is with THE WORD OF GOD, it is our INSTRUCTION MANUAL!

Holy Spirit is AMAZING! In 1989, HE spoke into my spirit through THE WORD, about crumbs that fall from a piece of the bread.

HOLY SPIRIT said, "No matter how tiny the crumb may be and perhaps you may only be getting a few of the crumbs...guess what?
Those crumbs still have ALL OF THE SAME INGREDIENTS AS THE WHOLE LOAF! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SETTLE FOR CRUMBS, YOU MAY EAT THE WHOLE LOAF!"

OH GLORY!

How hungry are you today? You can eat your fill and there is plenty more!
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE PASS THE BREAD?
